Description

Get close to nature on a dog sledding trip and travel at high speed across the Greenlandic wilderness.

Dog sledding is perfect for every age group and is a must-do when visiting Greenland during the wintertime. On this trip, you will experience an entire pack of hard-working sled dogs pulling you through the magnificent landscape that surrounds Ilulissat on your way to Rodebay.

The dog sled has for many generations been an invaluable means of transportation for the local fishermen and hunters in Greenland. In fact, it is still used today as a means of transportation for the fishermen. For example, when the harbour freezes in wintertime these workers must cross the mountains in order to reach the important fishing grounds that lie far in the hinterland.

Our local mushers have detailed knowledge about the sled trails around Ilulissat and will ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.

On this fantastic journey, you will experience the enormous force of the dogs when you glide over the snow covered landscape. It is truly an experience of a lifetime and one that must not be missed during your visit to Greenland.
