IceCap Tours has a product insurance. IceCap Tours uses only boats approved by the Danish Maritime Authority for passenger service, with a valid insurance. On excursions into the air used airplanes and helicopters of all necessary permits from the Civil Aviation Administration.
Booking and purchase
You can book and pay for excursions and activities through our website www.icecaptours.com. Reservations is first finally confirmed when online payment is completed and a screen telling you that the payment has gone through. Via email address you can also book excursions and activities. We need your name, address, email address and phone number to contact you in case of cancellation of a tour. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your email address. Names of all participants must comply with names of photo identification.
On icecaptours.com you can pay with VISA, MasterCard, VISA, VISA Electron and JCB. We use Quickpay which from the card number and security code automatically finds out which card is paid with. The payment on icecaptours.com is free of charge. There can be fees that your bank is taking for handling the transfer, and Icecaptours have no responsibilities for that. When you make an online payment by credit card, you are always protected against abuse. The data you submit in connection with online purchases paid for by credit card is encrypted (SSL). Neither icecaptours.com or others have the ability to read data. There can never be transferred an amount greater than what you have approved.
Once we receive your payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, which is also your ticket. You must bring your ticket when you arrive at the site of the activity / excursion. Important to always inform about changes in your email until departure. The ticket is personal. Remember to bring photo ID. Once the ticket has been paid for and confirmed, it is not possible to cancel or change it.
IceCap Tours reserves the right to cancel tours / events in the following cases: poor ice conditions, bad weather, technical problems on boats and helicopter / plane, too few and in cases outside the IceCap Tours control. In these cases, the tour / activity the full amount will be refunded. IceCap Tours are also trying to find alternative ways on different dates, so it is most convenient for the guest program and possibly other activities ordered. IceCap Tours can only be held responsible for activities / excursions booked and ordered on our website.
On the journey to Ilulissat there may be delays in the aviation and shipping. IceCap Tours is not responsible for these delays, but trying to find alternatives if the delays affecting the tour / activity that you have ordered and paid for.
There can be various reasons for why there can be changes over time for a tour / activity. We advise you therefore to contact IceCap Tours when you / I have arrived in Ilulissat. Bad weather, road conditions and technique on boats and helicopters / planes can be the cause of the tour / activity may be modified and / or shortened. It is the only guide on the trek, the ship’s captain and the captain of the helicopter / aircraft shall decide on this. We provide no compensation for changed / shortened tour / activity.
Minimum number of participants
Each tour has a minimum in terms of number of participants. Minimum number appears in the description of the individual trips. In cases where the minimum requirement is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the trip. It can be made up to one hour before the trip. Instead, we offer another trip. Is it not in the guest program, we will refund the amount. In a few cases with too few exceptions we make and implement anyway trip.Subject to errors and comissions
